A Roman ceramic vessel fragment; a wall fragment of Samian Ware dating from about AD 43 - 410. The fabric is hard, and fine in texture. It is orange in colour, with occasional white lenses, with a glossy orange slip on both faces. There are very sparse, very small grey and white grit inclusions. It is abraded on the edges. The sherd is 48.9mm long, 47.1mm wide and 10.3mm thick. 13.7g.

An incomplete, copper alloy terret ring of early Roman date, about AD 43 - 200. The remaining portion consists of part of a plain, undecorated, oval or circular loop of rectangular section with a smaller, rectangular attachment loop, also rectangular in section and in the same plane as the large loop, extending from the outer side. A copper alloy Roman brooch of Dragonesque type dating from AD 75 - 175. The brooch is cast and both terminals or animal heads are missing, along with the pin. It has the characteristic S shape of a dragonesque brooch. Some doubt on its identification as a brooch is caused because the two ends do not appear to be broken. Some dragonesque shaped mounts are known, but there is no evidence of any form of attachment on this object. A complete cast copper-alloy strap fitting dating from the Iron Age or the Roman period, about AD 50 - 200. In plan, the fitting consists of two conjoined tear-shaped halves, with the points at opposite ends. There is a small rectangular loop on the reverse. Within each half of the front of the fitting, there is a raised border, within which there is a circular groove and a prominent central boss. An early Roman copper alloy terret ring of the strap-mounted type, dating from about AD 43 - 200. The object has a rectangular basal strap loop which is below an ovoid incomplete hoop, the top third missing, which is thicker at the base than at the top. The sides of the hoop are D-shaped in section. 29.3mm wide, 29.8mm high and 10.1mm thick. 13.53g. It has a smooth, glossy olive green patina which is less well developed on the breaks.
