Rev. ROMAE AETERNAE (V); Roma seated facing, holding (Victory?) in right hand and (spear or sceptre?) in left, in hexastyle temple.
Mintmark: - // SRS
SRS is an erroneous form of RSR and it appears on a small number of other pieces. The overall style of the coin suggests it is one of the later coins of the silver issue. There are two other know denarii which show Roma in a temple, but they have different legends. This coin is the first of its…

This reverse type is known from one other piece (in a private collection). The obverse - IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, Radiate bust right, in consular robes, holding Victory on globe in left hand and raising right hand - is otherwise unknown for a coin of Carausius. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's catalogue for a new RIC.

There is no mintmark.
RIC V, pt 2 -. Sam Moorhead has seen another coin from the same dies in a private collection. This is an unusual coin with a reverse legend that is rather confused. The P M suggests it might have been intended to have been a dated coin with imperial titles, but the AIV is hard to interpret. It is possible that the coin is a contemporary copy, but the s…

Copper alloy quarter-nummus of Constantine I as Caesar (AD 306-7), dating to AD 307 (Reece Period 15), PLVR NATAL FEL in wreath. Mint of Trier. RIC VI, p. 213, no. 746. This coin is very rare; it is the only example on the PAS Database, and the British Museum does not have a specimen. It is listed as a quarter-follis/nummus in RIC, but I am sceptical. At only 0.68g (and in good condition) is surely has to be a smaller denomination. These fractions of nummi do need more research.

Hexagonal piece of bronze, possibly a cut down sestertius. There are possible traces of a coin design on both sides. On the ?reverse there are two counterstamps, one quite clear, the other faint. Obverse: possibly traces of bust right
Reverse: possibly a standing figure; one clearer oval counterstamp (9/11mm) of incuse dots around ?clasped hands or bird; one very faint counterstamp with part of an incuse dotted border.
