A worn and incomplete Roman cast plate brooch of 2nd-century date. This flat brooch has an annular body with circular open centre (Dia.: 8.9mm). At the cardinal points are four protrusions which have suffered differing levels of abrasion. On the lower surface on the two complete, opposing protrusions are, respectively, the abraded catch-plate and the perforated, semi-circular double pin lug.
