Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, possible Polden Hill type. This has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that are truncated but would have held the pin axis bar. At the top of the head is a loop for the external cord of the spring. An ovel projection decorated the apex of the bow with recessed cells below that may have formed a row of opposing triangles, unfortunately the lower part of the bow is truncated resulting in the loss of most of this decoration.
