This is a copper-alloy Roman strap-mounted terret. The terret is undecorated and consists of a large circular loop, 38mm diameter and 28mm internal diameter with a thickness of 7mm. On the lower edge is an integrally cast rectangular lower loop, measuring 23mm long 15mm internally, 12mm deep, 9mm internally. This terret ring is very similar to an example from the Romano-British settlement at Hacheston (Plouviez 2004, 128-129, fig 89, no 228)

A copper alloy Roman T-shaped brooch. Tubular wings hold the pin axis bar, there is a slot in the centre of the wings at the rear for the pin which is complete and made from copper alloy. A recessed line decorates the front tip of each wing. The head of the bow has a tapering triangular panel with expanded shoulders and is decorated with a raised line running down the middle and one on each side. The central line continues down the length of the leg of the bow which is otherwise undecorated. The catchplate on the reverse is closed.

Copper alloy roman belt bar mount that has a rectangular plate with raises sides and a recesses centre that would have contained enamel. At either end are projecting acorn knop terminals that have a pierced centre for the attachment rivet, the copper alloy rivets are still in place.

Copper-alloy strip bracelet fragment that has a flat oval cross-section. The frame of this surviving portion has a double line of closely packed square punches that run down its length. The end of the bracelet narrows to a now truncated hooked terminal. The reverse of the bracelet of undecorated.

An incomplete copper alloy penannular brooch of Fowler Type D. The brooch has a circular cross-section frame that is bent round to form a loop, although one arm has been bent outwards slightly distorting that frame. The terminals have been bent back on themselves and then the top sides have been chamfered. Otherwise the brooch is undecorated. The pin is missing.

A fragment of a copper alloy penannular buckle that is late roman in date. Only one side remains showing that the frame had a shallow curve on the forward edge that led to the steeply curved sides, this curve continued and became more pronounced to the rear where it curved round and back on itself forming an internal hook. This would have been mirrored in the other side with a small gap between the internal hooks. At the rear of the frame is the remains of an projection loop where the pin axes/strap bar would have been mounted See GLO-DFA063 and GLO-871BC8 for a complete example.…
