Roman toggle in the form of two conjoined balls linked by a circumferential mould which bears traces of incised dots. On the underside is a 10.4mm diameter, round sectioned ring set parallel to the length. The underside of the two balls are hollow cast. Length 22.0mm, Width 11.8mm, Height 17.6mm, Mass 11.20g. This object can paralleled by a find form Coventina's Well on Hadrian's Wall which was attributed to the 2nd century (Allason-Jones and McKay, 1985, 30, No 76) but the type is likely to have been in use over a longer period of time

Cast copper alloy toggle in the form of two conjoined balls linked by a 4.3mm diameter bar. At the poiint where each ball joins the bar is flange the edges of which are notched.
