Roman brooch of 'Headstud' type. The foot is missing but sufficient survives to show that this was a fine brooch. Part of the bow is present and, on its underside, is the end of the catch plate. Down the top of the bow runs a broad groove. At the apex of the bow is a circular rosette-like element, its outer edge marked by a ring of radial notches. In the centre of this is a small setting containing blue enamel. This is surrounded by an annular groove which may also have contained enamel. Roman brooch, copper alloy, of Fantail type, complete with pin. The fantail foot bears chapleve enamel, a 'D' shaped panel containing two confronted scrolls, surrounded by mid-blue enamel, above this is a diamond shaped panel. Two longitudinal grooves run down the bow. The head is cylindrical with a transverse projecting bar across its end on which is an integral ring. The pin is articulated with a hinge type mechanism. On the underside of the foot plate is a triangular catch plate. Length 40.2mm, Width (fantail) 18.7mm, (head) 15.8mm, Height 14.5mm, Mass 7.82g.

Plain lead spindle whorl, Roman or Medieval, discoid and plano-convex, one face being rounded the other flat (slightly concave). Through the disc is 8.9mm diameter hole, which, on the flat face is surrounded by a slight rim. Diameter 28.2mm, Thickness 8,8mm, Mass 43.48g. Whorls of this simple form are difficult to date and this find could be Roman to Medieval in date.

Roman toggle in the form of two conjoined balls linked by a circumferential mould which bears traces of incised dots. On the underside is a 10.4mm diameter, round sectioned ring set parallel to the length. The underside of the two balls are hollow cast. Length 22.0mm, Width 11.8mm, Height 17.6mm, Mass 11.20g. This object can paralleled by a find form Coventina's Well on Hadrian's Wall which was attributed to the 2nd century (Allason-Jones and McKay, 1985, 30, No 76) but the type is likely to have been in use over a longer period of time

Possible terminal from a Roman razor in the form of the head of a gryphon executed in low relief, the detail incised. Hooked beak, ring and dot eyes, small erect ears behind head. Slight groove down edge between ears. Below the head is a centrally set plate, now truncated. Length 14.0mm, Width 12.4mm, Thickness (head) 3.5mm, plate 1.7mm, Mass 2.36g. This object can be compared to more complete Roman razors recorded by the PAS as NLM-9EFC35 and NLM-D150A3.

Strip of cast copper alloy both ends of which are decorated with three transverse grooves, widely space at one end; closely set at the other. Between these are two incised lines, one down each side of the strip. The strip was curved but is now bent to an angle of 70 degrees. It is impossible to determine if the strip has been truncated, if this is the case sufficient time has passed for the ends to have become patinated.Length 48.0mm, Width 5.9mm, Thickness 2.1mm, Mass 3.41g. Possibly part of a Roman bracelet.
