Very fine grained with sparce sand inclusions, comprising of fine, sub-angular quartz grains, <0.3mm, with rarer, larger ferrous <0.5mm and limestone <0.75mm inclusions (both also sub-angular). A Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative hinged T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. AD 75-150. The brooch is almost complete, missing only its pin. At the head of the brooch a pair of rolled, cylindrical wings survive intact to a width of 42.4mm, with a diameter of c. 8.7mm. A Roman copper alloy nummus of the House of Constantine, dating to AD 330-335 (Reece period 17). VRBS ROMA type, depciting a wolf and twins with two stars above. Mint of Trier. LRBC I, no. 65. The coin is struck on a notably eliptical flan, with the remains of a white metal coating only visible on the obverse and peirced at 3 o'clock. Such reuse could be either Roman or Early Medieval in date, in the absence of any finds from the latter period the former is suggested.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged Colchester derivative developed T-shaped brooch, dating to c. AD 75-150. The surviving fragment comprises of the upper bow and left wing only, with the rest lost to old breaks. The head of the bow is incomplete, with the right wing lost in line with a central rectangualr slot cut into the rear of the head. An incomplete Roman probable colchester derivative brooch, probably dating to c. AD 50-150. The surviving fragment comprises of the lower bow and partial catchplate, with the upper bow and pin missing. At its upper end the fragment terminates in a worn break, sub-oval in cross section, measuring 5.4mm wide and 3.6mm thick. The object consists of a flat blade, 0.8mm thick, in the form of a stylised leaf. With a transverse oval plate at its shoulders, 14.1mm thick, from the bottom of which projects a long, narrow sub-rectangular neck which bifurcates and terminates in a split end of two points, 3.9m wide.
