Cast copper-alloy brooch of Roman date, c. AD 50-80. Harlow type, Mackreth 1.a (see Mackreth 2011: 50).
The brooch features a double pierced lug though the lower piercing for the axis bar is broken. The upper chord piercing is intact with the chord and springs to either side still in situ. The wings are semi-cylindrical and open at the rear. The brooch is 'T' shaped in form, with the bow being slightly wider at the head where it extends into the top part of the lug. Fragment of a Roman brooch, c. AD 43-410. The remains of a brooch with only the lower portion of the bow, the foot and part of the catchplate still remaining. The bow has a raised central ridge, and the catchplate has a triangular void at the centre.
The patina is brown with some indication of iron staining, but generally smooth in texture

Incomplete cast copper-alloy object with stamped ring and dot decoration. The item as it survives, is a formed of a curved 'D' shaped sectioned bar, with two curving arms protruding from the inside edge, meeting at a terminal. The terminal appears to be broken, and has two flaring knops to either side. The centre of the terminal is also decorated with a single dot and ring stamp. The Underside of the item is plain and undecorated.
The curvature of the object suggests that the item was circular, at least partially, and bears some resemblance in form to buckles or harness or strap…

Partial copper-alloy slide key of Manning's type 2 (Manning 1985) dating to the Roman period c. AD 43-410.
The stem is composed of a sub rectangular plate, with the remains of a loop at one end, and a narrowed stem section that meets the bit. The bit, formed of a rectangular plate, is positioned at a 90 degree angle to the plane of the stem. The teeth are formed of six prongs, two of which are broken at the base.

Cast copper-alloy zoomorphic brooch dating to the Roman period c. AD 100-200.
The brooch is broken near the head and missing the pin and lug, but otherwise complete. It takes the form of a fish or dolphin and is approx. 52.1mm in length.
The fish's tail is triangular and inset with two panels of triangular, brown coloured enamel, much of which is now missing. The maximum width of the tail is 12.9mm. On the underside of the tail are two semi-circular lugs with evidence of iron staining around a pierced hole. This would have been the pierced plate portion of the brooch hinge.…

Copper-alloy pin, likely a hair pin, possibly dating to the Roman period c. AD 43-400.
Much of the pin is missing, with only the head and a small section of the shaft now remain. The head is formed of a hemishperical terminal. A cylindrical shaft is attached below. The shaft is now broken and extends approx 12.2mm.

Copper-alloy Roman plate brooch, dating to the period c. AD 80 - 250.
The brooch is circular in shape and features a flat plate on the back of which are the remains of the head and the catchplate.
The face of the brooch is abraded and all of the decoration is now missing. It is unclear whether the brooch originally had enamel attached. There are raised concretions on the surface which could suggest a fixative medium, or could be the remains of moulded relief work which has since been abraded.
A small portion of the head remains on the reverse, with one pierced lug stil…

Fragment of a copper-alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Harlow type, likely dating to c. AD 50 - 70.
The remaining section of the brooch comprises the head and the upper bow. The wings are fragmentary though is is likely that they were open at the reverse. There is a slightly raised central ridge on the bow.
The patina is mostly abraded, though there are some areas of smooth, dark green surface remaining, including one part of the bow which shoes a small section of punched line decoration.

Copper-alloy finger ring of probable Roman date.
The ring is circular in shape with a fracture on the lower ring band. The band is thin and 'D' shaped in section. The shoulders flare slightly then constrict to meet a circular bezel that sits between them.
There is moulded decoration on the surface of both shoulders and though worn, appears to depict three raised dots with a central incised line running through the centre.
