Incomplete Roman copper alloy furniture fitting dating to c. AD 43 - 409. Cylindrical in form with a narrowed waist forming two dics. The upper disc is concave with a narrow circumferential groove. It is missing approximately 35% of its circumference due to old breaks. The lower disc also exhibits a circumferential groove running around the edge and a moulded central pellet at the centre.
