An incomplete copper-alloy Finger Ring of Roman date (AD 43-150). The object is a Henig's type II. The finger ring has an oval bezel and shoulders with a bevelled section that tapers into the undecorated hoop. The hoop terminates along the lower portion in old and abrade breaks. The bezel has an ovate recess and contains the remnants of red enamel. The metal is a dark brown in colour with a predominantly smooth patina. Henig 1974: 47. A complete copper alloy Strap Slide or Loop of Roman date (AD 43-200). The object iscomposed of a circular convex plate with a spherical knop in the centre and stepped circular boarder. There are four flat semi-circular projecting knops on the outside edge. On the reverse is a rectangular loop. The back of the plate is steeply concave and undecorated. The object is a Polden Mill type and is composed of cylindrical wings with outer raised collared ended which are perforated to accommodate an axis bar and pin. The wings are double collard at the elbow. The bowhead is hump-like in profile and is decorated with a double vertical ridge which continues down the bow. The head of the brooch is comprised of wide tubular wings with a central rectangular groove, and axis bar around which the pin would have been hinged. The wings have bulbous terminals and are decorated with semi-circular collars. From the top of the bow a worn triangular projecting boss is retains.
