An incomplete copper alloy Roman cart fitting, AD.43-200, depicting a stylised human head. The object comprises a cast hollow finial, in the form of a human head. The head is tilted backwards and has a stylised Romano-British face. It is quite worn and much of the exterior detail has been removed. Running down the back of the neck of the piece is an integrally cast squared strap loop, this has a circular cross section.
