A Gold solidus of Valentinian II (AD 375-392) dating the period c.378-383 (Reece Period 20). VICTOR-IA AVGG reverse type depicting Two draped emperors nimbate, seated facing on throne, one on right holding mappa in left hand and the two together holding globe. Behind a victory, below a palm branch. Mint of Milan (Mediolanum), -//COM. As Hoxne no. 16; RIC IX, pp. 77-78, nos. 5e/8(a1). Coin has slight post-depositional folding to one edge. Measurements: 20.34mm in diameter, 1.27mm thick and 4.47g in weight.

A fragment of gold jewellery, probably of Roman date. c.1st to 3rd century AD. Description: The fragment consists of a loop of filigree, circular in section, that is now broken at one end. The surviving part forms a straight section that terminates in an ovoid loop. This straight section is decorated with granulation, in the form of two pairs of spheres at each end and five in the centre. An incomplete stamped gold Roman apotropaic amulet, possibly dating to the 2nd century AD. Description: The amulet is formed from two stamped gold foil discs folded together the apex has a small tear likely where the amulet's now missing suspension loop was placed. The discs have been embossed in a repoussé style. A distorted, complete gold and garnet finger ring dating to the Roman period, probably the 3rd century AD. Description: The ring has been compressed, giving it an almost pear-shaped profile but was originally polygonal with a raised bezel. The shoulders are expanded and the bezel section rectangular in shape. The bezel has a tear-shaped garnet, set within cell created from reserve metal. The ring band is made from hammered gold.
