The head and part of the bow of a Roman copper alloy hinged initial T-shaped brooch probably dating to c. AD 50-150. The head is nearly complete but the pin, lower part of the bow, foot and catchplate are missing to worn breaks. At the head of the bow are cylindrical wings which taper from 6.3mm to 5.1mm in diameter at the ends. The left appears almost complete, the right s broken with a worn break. Fragment of a Roman brooch of uncertain type and probably late first to second century date. Only the the lower part of the bow, foot and catchplate survive. The bow tapers slightly in width towards the foot and is D-shaped in cross section with convex front and flat back. Adjacent to the break is a raised transverse ridge. The foot consists of a semi-circular, stepped knob with three transverse ridges on the front, the central ridge wavy. An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged large South-western T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c. 80 - 200, missing the lower part of the bow, parts of the wing and head loop and the pin. At the head of the brooch the cylindical wings survive to a width of 26.4mm, the right wing is broken near the bow, the left probably complete, both are worn and no decoration survives. A near complete Roman copper alloy Aucissa varient brooch, or possibly strip bow brooch varient, probably dating to c. AD 40-60. The majority of the brooch survives but the head is fragmentary, and it is missing part of its catchplate and pin. The head of the brooch projects backwards from the bow in a thin triangular plate. The plate is decorated with pairs of incised lines running parallel to each edge, ending in a transverse incised line at the top of the bow. BRITANNIA, PONT MAX TR POT COS III, S C reverse type depicting Britannia seated facing right, foot on rock, resting head on right hand and holding sceptre, large shield to right. As RIC II, p. 412, no. 577A or 577B. This is a coin of British Association, struck in Rome for issue in Britain - 39 specimens were found in the Sacred Spring in Bath (As Walker, 1988: p. 291, nos. 1-39, pl. XXXI).

Roman copper alloy strip bow brooch probably re-used as a nail cleaner.The fragment is a thin strip of copper alloy, gradually tapering in width from one end to the other and a shallow arch in profile. At the wider head end (of the brooch) is a patinated but slightly irregular break, suggesting it was broken rather than deliberately cut, a slight projection at one side may suggest it was widening slightly, but not thickening,into a curled over head . Broken polished silica stone, probably carnelian, bead, of uncertain date, possibly Roman. The bead is a flattened hexagonal in cross section and sub-rectangular in plan, tapering slightly to one end which may be complete, although irregular. The other end is clearly broken. There is a circular cross section hole running through the bead, more close to one side than the other, particularly at the broken end.
