This coin is concreted to what appear to be two other coins below it, both in varying states of repair following probable heat damage. The dimensions relate to the widest point and thickness of the whole group, as is the weight. The uppermost coin is c. 16.2mm in diameter, but has not been able to be identified.

An irregular Roman silver-plate copper-alloy denarius copying Julia Soemias dating to the period AD 218-222 (Reece period 10). VENVS VICTRIX reverse type depciting Venus standing left holding patera in right hand and vertical sceptre in left. Mint uncertain. The VENVS VICTRIX type is not recorded for Julia Soemias, although it was for Julia Paula (RIC IV, pt 2, p. 46, no. 223). However, the Julia Paula coin has Venus holding a globe and sceptre. The type with patera and sceptre is more commonly found for Juno. Therefore, the forger has probably muddled his legends and types.

The lower part of the bow and catch-plate of a Roman copper-alloy brooch. The upper part of the bow, the head of the brooch and pin are missing due to an old, twisted irregular break. In cross-section, the bow is rectangular with rounded corners; it generally has flat upper and lower surfaces, though with a recessed channel on the lower . A copper-alloy Roman zoomorphic plate brooch in the shape of fabulous creature, a sea monster with two heads, of Feugère's type 29a5 (c. 2nd century AD). The creature has a curved L-shaped body and is going right with its head looking backwards. At the other end the tail loops round on itself, curving at its tip to face the head in a zoomorphic terminal. Protruding from the loop of the tail is a triangular projection. A fragment from a Roman cast copper-alloy developed T-shaped brooch dating to c. AD 75-150. The fragment consists of the abraded bow and foot with catch-plate on the reverse; the head and pin are both missing. The bow is flat with rounded edges. At its centre it expands into a flattened lozenge shape. This shape is decorated on the front with a moulded lozenge within a lozenge recess. Within the moulding is a further recess with traces of red enamel. The bow curves gradually in profile. The catch-plate is abraded at the foot.
