An extremely corroded and incomplete probable finger-ring of Roman date. The object appears to consist of a thickened bezel of rectangular form, rounded at the top from the ends of which extend shoulders and hoop in a continuous curve. The hoop has broken around halfway down each side with the truncated remains abraded to a point on both sides. The hoop is broadly D-shaped in cross-section, with a flat internal surface (int. dia.: c. 19.2mm). A dark-green patina survives in small patches, particularly on the underside of the bezel. Elsewhere the object is highly corroded with a green colour over a red-brown metal.
