A Roman base silver radiate of Valerian I dating to the period AD 256 to 257 (Reece Period 12). RESTITVTOR ORBIS reverse type depicting the Emperor standing left holding spear and raising kneeling female. Mint of Rome. Cunetio 495 (p. 98).
The flan is oval and elongated with the design struck within a circular border and the flan not then trimmed. It measures 26.1mm by 20.9mm by 1.7mm. Measuring across the border gives a diameter of c. 20.1mm. The coin weighs 3.27g.
