A fragment from a copper-alloy spoon probably of Roman date. The fragment is broken at both ends: diagonally across the bowl and at the point at which what appears to be an unusual junction element connects the bowl and handle. The bowl, being highly truncated, is of indeterminate form, but has a rounded oval back where it connects to the junction element. This latter rises up from the back of the bowl at ninety degrees to it. It is broadly of flat oval form, with a deep notch cut out of its front edge adjacent to the bowl.
