Cast copper alloy strap fitting, belt slide, of probable early Roman date (50 - 200AD). The strap fitting is broadly rectangular in plan but has been heavily eroded in the ploughsoil. It comprises a rectangular front plate decorated with four vertical ribs each with a single incised line on its apex. The reverse face has a staple like hasp projecting from two rectangular studs positioned on the upper and lower edges. An incomplete cast copper alloy dome / globular headed pin of probable later Roman date (150-450AD). The pin is incomplete; all that remains is the head and a section of the shaft. The head of the pin is domed being broadly globular in shape (diameter 18.0mm); there is no evidence of incised decoration on the pin head although it is heavily abraded. An incomplete fragment of cast copper alloy two-piece Wirral type bow brooch of Roman date (43-200AD). The brooch consists of an oval D shaped head from which a broken head loop projects. On the reverse of the head are two heavily abraded perforated lugs through which an iron axis bar (now lost) would have passed. The pin is lost.
