An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating from AD 100-200. The bow of the brooch has an angular profile and an angular D shaped cross section. The bow tapers from a flared head to a pointed ut abraded foot that has lost its bulbous knop. The head of the brooch is complete but heavily eroded, it is oval in plan, and tapers into the bow. The reverse of the head has the remains of a projecting bar that divides the head vertically - the spring and pin are lost however a small section of the axis bar and one turn of a spring is present fused by corrosion to the bar . A corroded silver Roman denarius of unclear type, probably 1st century in date and likely of the Flavian period, c.AD 69-96 (Reece Period 4). Unclear reverse type depicting a seated or reclining figure left, possibly holding a caduceus. Unclear mint, probably Rome. Both faces of the coin are poorly preserved with the detail obscured by corrosion.

An irregular incomplete cast lead alloy vessel repair (pot mend) of probable Roman date (50-400). In plan the repair is broadly oval in shape and irregular in cross section; originally it would have been H shaped but it has been snapped across the mid-point and only a small projecting nub survives. These types of mend were used during many different periods but this example has been found with other datable Roman finds The vessel repair measures 24mm length, and is 20mm wide

A near complete cast copper alloy key handle of Roman date (AD 50-300). The fragment consists of the upper ornamental openwork key handle, and part of the socketed junction which would have joined to the iron shank. The key fragment is irregular in plan and profile. The junction with the iron shaft is sub rectangular in both plan and profile and contains part of the iron shank of the body of the key which is broken but relatively un-corroded. An incomplete copper alloy headstud brooch of Roman date (75-200AD). The head of the brooch is incomplete as the sides are lost through erosion; this has resulted in the loss of the spring fixing mechanism. An integrally cast head plate extends from the upper edge of the head - the upper edge is rolled back to form an eroded hook and a circular hole pierces it at the centre. A heavily worn copper alloy fragment from a Dupondius or As of probable late 2nd or 3rd century date. The obverse depicts a bearded radiate crowned head facing right. The reverse is laminated and all detail is lost. The identification as an As rather than a later radiate (Antoninus) is based on the patina and thickness of the coin fragment. The coin measures 21.8mm diameter, is 3.5mm thick and weighs 4.12 grams

The Gobowen Roman coin hoard. The hoard was discovered on the 8th September 2019 by a metal detector user on an organised outing by the Historical Search Society Mold . The finder located a group of coins and a scatter in the ploughsoil and adhered to best practice by contacting the Finds Liaison Officers Peter Reavill and Susie White. An excavation of the hoard was undertaken by PAS staff with the finder present on the 14th September, during which a block of coins was lifted and brought to the British Museum conservation laboratory in February 2020.
