An incomplete copper alloy Roman (late 1st to 2nd century) Dragonesque type brooch, The brooch is broken across its lower scroll, below the mid-point; the foot and catchplate are lost. Originally the brooch was an S-shape abstract zoomorphic form with turned in heads at each terminal. The head has a small circular ring and dot cell filled externally with white enamel and internall with blue; this is represents an eye, a scroll with a small circular cell at one edge either representing a beard or ear in the centre and a short ridge which represents the mouth. A near complete cast copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type of Roman date (80-120 AD). The wings are complete with flat and pierced end cap. A complete cast copper alloy headstud bow brooch of Roman date (100-200AD). The bow wings are complete and stub-like being cylindrical in plan with closed pierced ends through which an iron axis bar passes. The spring and pin are lost. From the upper edge of the head an integrally cast broken head plate decorated with horizontal cast bands is positioned, its edges are heavily abraded. Cast copper alloy Roman military buckle / strap fitting of early 1st or 2nd century date (AD 50-150). The frame of the buckle is D shaped in plan and triangular / D shaped in cross section.
