A complete Roman copper-alloy crescent type "Aesica" brooch of first century AD date, possibly dating to circa AD43-100. The brooch comprises an upper curved bow and a lower flat bow. The spring-case has a width of 16.4mm and diameter of 3.5mm. The spring consists of seven coils / turns with the external chord which lays over the top of the spring, and then passes through a pierced hole in the spring lug which holds it in place. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman gilded disc (oval) brooch with dark black glass inset, probably dating to (3rd to 4th CenturiesAD). The brooch is oval in plan with a large centrally set conical paste or black glass 'gem'. Around the gem the metalwork has been gilded. An incomplete cast copper alloy trumpet brooch dating to c. AD 75 to 175. The head of the brooch is missing the wings and in plan is a horizontal oval. The upper edge has a trace of an integral perforated lug (headloop). The oval head tapers to a broken edge, the bow, terminal, foot, pin and catch plate are missing. A fragment of an unidentified object of probable Roman date (AD 43-410). At one end the object is broadly sub-oval in section. The first section of the object curves and then narrows and twists terminating in a pointed tapered broken end. Possible functions may be a hook or it may be part of a bracelet. The object has a mid-dark green patina across its surface with traces of the original surface visible in places.In appearance and form it suggests a Roman date, circa AD43-410. The object measures 79.4 mm in length, 6.5 mm in width, 5.2 mm in thickness and weighs 17.2 grams

The top edge is stepped and is perforated with a copper pin that passes through the perforation rather than the pin being rolled in situ. An incomplete late Roman/ Early-Medieval (AD 400-600) penannular brooch of Fowler's Type D and Booth's type D2. The frame is sub-circular, and oval in cross-section. The pin is missing.
