A Polden Hill type Roman brooch dating to between c. AD 80 and 120: The wings are semi-cylindrical, terminating with incomplete wing caps. The axis bar is possibly iron with an spring whose coils are not visible due to corrosion. The pin is missing. The wings are undecorated. At the edge of the wings and bow head there is a small intregral hook which holds the chord in place. The bow head is hump-like in profile and is undecorated. An umbonate plate brooch, of Roman dating (100 - 250 AD). The brooch is sub circular in plan, with three incomplete projecting knops protruding from the edge. The body of the brooch is domed in profile and this is decorated with a central circular cell surrounded by two concentric rings of triangular cells which originally would have held enamel. The inner and outer rings circle consists of 14 triangular cells each. A thin rim is present around the edge of the outermost circle.
