An incomplete enamelled copper alloy button and loop fastener, of Roman Wild 1970, Type VIa dating (2nd Century AD). Less than 50% of the button and loop fastener is present, consisting of the head of the button and loop fastener. The loop and part of the shank are missing. The head is rectangular and decorated with two colours of enamel, probably red and blue. The enamelled decoration is split into two styles. A complete, cast, copper-alloy, strap-mounted terret of Roman date, around AD 43 - 250, of Lewis type xix. The terret comprises a main ovate ring with an integral rectangular loop projecting from the base. The main ring is bottom-heavy displaying wear one one face. The ring has a tapering ovate section and the loop is sub-rectangular in section. The terret is undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn.
