An incomplete late Roman buckle, approximately half survives. Weight 4.04g, length 30.6mm, incomplete width 14.8mm, maximum thickness of frame 3.7mm, thickness over the hinge loop (diameter of hinge loop) 6.5mm. This buckle had an oval or D-shaped frame, forming a penannular loop, of oval cross-section. The break is worn and covered with the same mid-green patina that is present over the rest of the artefact. An incomplete copper-alloy bracelet of Roman date. This fragment weighs 9.26g. Use of a flexible dress-maker’s tape-measure shows the length to be c.59.0mm however, in the arced form the length on a straight line between terminal and break is 48.6mm with a depth of arc c.16.7mm (measured from external surface). What is described as the terminal has a very straight transverse line over the whole cross-section. However, this has a rough texture so may possibly be an extremely straight but unabraded break.
