An incomplete  Roman copper-alloy Colchester derivative, dating to AD 43 - 65. The wings and bow are present, the catchplate and pin are missing. The hollow cylindrical wings are decorated with two vertical incised lines towards the edge.The upper bow is D-shaped in cross section, it tapers towards the foot of the brooch, it is decorated with a central moulded rib which narrows and terminated at the middle of the bow. An incomplete Roman Roman copper-alloy Hod Hill brooch dating to the 1st century AD. The piece is T-shaped in plan and has been flattened. It is missing the pin and one of bow knops. The top of the head consists of a trapezoidal shaped section with a small knob on the reverse where it has broken from the pin. There is a rectangular section on the bottom half of the head which is decorated with two transverse grooves. An incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper-alloy brooch, dating to c.AD 25 - 70. The bow and catchplate remain, the spring and pin are missing. The bow is comprised of a cylidrical sectioned shaft which tapers towards the foot. The brooch appears undecorated. At the top is a backwards facing hook to secure the now missing pin. A complete Roman copper alloy votive axe, dating to AD 43 - 410. The object is a miniaturised axe case in one piece. It includes a handle that is oval in cross section above which is an axehead that projects from the handle. The larger projection expands in width and slightly curves downwards. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy horse and rider brooch, dating to AD 250 - 410. Around 75% of the brooch remains, the horses legs and tail are incomplete and the rider remains from the waist down, the pin is also missing. The horse is advancing right, it has a narrow rectangular undecorated face. The mane is slightly arched, separated from the neck by an incised line and decorated with repeated vertical incised lines to indicate the hair. The object consists of a circular cross sectoned shaft which is attached to the underside of a sub rectangular plate witha hook like terminal. A worn and pierced copper-alloy Roman sestertius of Antonine or Severan date, possibly of Marcus Aurelius (AD 161-180), although perhaps Septimius Severus (AD 193-211), dating to the period c.AD 161-211. Unclear reverse type possibly depicting a standing figure? Probably mint of Rome. The coin has been pierced, with a circular hole close to the edge of the flan above the bust when viewed from the obverse. Record via e-mail, not seen in person.

Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, Severn Valley, northern Midlands and Marches), cf.Mackreth 2011, 4.l.c. pg. 75, Plate 49. It is 51mm long, 21mm wide and 13mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 13.39 grams. The brooch is missing its spring, pin and catchplate but is otherwise complete. Its bow is decorated with vertical incised lines which join to form a V near its base.

late Roman ? copper alloy ring bezel, 16mm long and 14mm wide with a weight of 1.99 grams. The bezel is oval in shape and is decorated with a pettern resembling a 'figure of eight' with two circular recesses in the centre of each loop. Around these recesses is a section c.3mm wide which has an incised border on the outer edge. around this the ring is recessed and probably once contained enamel. The ring has broken off just beneath the bezel and the metal is in fair condition with a brown patina.
