Lead powder flask cap. A small cylindrical vessel with thickened rim, now squashed closed. A small loop is flattened against the lower side, for strung attachment to the flask. A vertical strengthening rib appears on one side of the lid, with a mould line opposite. Patinated. The smaller of two similar objects presented together. This is the cap from a powder flask. A powder flask might be used singly by a sportsman or might be carried on a bandolier as one of the ‘twelve apostles’ to equip a musketeer. It held a single measured charge. A leg from a cooking vessel, probably a small cauldron of late medieval to post medieval date. The leg has been broken from the body of the vessel and is triangular in shape with hexagonal cross section, tapering to a small flat foot. The surface appears to be heavily fire damaged, perhaps suggesting that the fragment was in the process of being melted down for recycling.

Copper alloy buckle. Cast double looped or spectacle buckle with a small knop at either end of a central narrowed strap bar. A round cast buckle plate of thickness 1.4mm with a narrower sub-triangular back part is folded round the strap bar and was secured on the strap [lost] by three domed rivets of head diameter 2.6mm with pointed ends. Lead spindle whorl, as kindly identified by the finder. Cast biconical whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 10mm. Moulded decoration on one side comprises thirteen or fourteen rays, some converging with their neighbours to form the points of an irregular and incomplete star, and with [usually] a single pellet in each of the compartments so defined. A complete Post-Medieval copper-alloy triangular mount dating to c. AD 1600-1700.  The mount is made of a plate that is domed in cross section being convex on the front and flat on the reverse. It is broadly an isosceles triangle in plan albeit with slightly concave long edges and a rectangular tab projecting from the narrow edge. This tab is slightly thinner creating a shallow ledge. Cast discoid weight with an uneven surface with off-centre dimple and a flat base; perhaps cast in an open mould suggesting the flat side to have been uppermost at the time of fabrication.
