An almost complete post-Medieval copper-alloy object, possibly a strap fitting (c. 1600-c. 1700).
A small portion of one loop is missing due to a break.
This object is symmetrical in plan. The main body is an elongated oval shape with a loop at each end which is 90° to the plane of the fitting. The main body is very slightly convex at the front and flat at the rear. Between the main body and each loop there is a pair of pointed projections/knops, one at each side. The front has oblique parallel 'scratches'.

Most of one loop is missing due to breaks.
This frame is moulded at the front and flat at the rear. The loop is sub-circular in plan and is bevelled internally at the front. The outside edge has a knop in the style of a shell. There is a protrusion at each outer corner. The bar is triangular in cross-section and has a small knop at each end. The tapering copper-alloy pin is flat and has an open loop.

A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy spherical animal 'crotal' bell (1600-1800).
The sub-square suspension loop at the top is about 10.0mm long, 13.0mm wide, 5.1mm thick and has a circular aperture measuring 4.9mm in diameter. The upper and lower hemispheres are divided by a prominent horizontal circumferential joining rib. At each side of the suspension loop, about half way down the side of the upper hemisphere, is a circular sound hole. Two sound holes in the lower hemisphere are integral with a sound 'slit'. A post-Medieval copper-alloy plate/chape from a spur buckle (c. 1500-c. 1700).
This plate is widest at the inner end where there is a cylindrical housing for an iron spindle, parts of which remain within. The plate tapers to a pair of hemispherical knops, one to each side. These knops form a juncture between the flat plate and hook. The hook is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat on the inner face.
The plate is drab green with patches of a darker green patina and off-white deposits.

The button is circular in plan, convex at the front and concave at the rear with a flat rim. At the front it has a crown over initial letters in copperplate style: N L V (Newport Loyal Volunteers).

A complete and corroded post-Medieval copper-alloy asymmetrical double-loop buckle (c. 1575-c. 1700).
This buckle frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. One loop is sub-rectangular and the other is 'D'-shaped with a pointed outside edge. The upper face of each loop is bevelled internally. The bar is sub-triangular in cross-section and has a minor projection at each end. An iron pin is corroded and fused to the bar.
This buckle is dull green.

The main body of the fitting is sub-circular in plan, convex at the front and concave at the rear. At one end a rounded knop is pierced and contains the remains of a separate iron rivet. Between the knop and main body there is a single transverse ridge. The rearwards projecting hook is 'D'-shaped in cross-section. Between the hook and main body is a transverse ridge. The fitting consists of a plate and a hook.

The shank and rim are missing.
This button is roughly circular in plan. At the centre a large pellet is surrounded by a circle of two interwoven strands of rope. These are enclosed by a circle of thirteen scarab-like or insect-like motifs. The rear face is plain and at the centre there is the stub of an integral shank. The outer edge is uneven due to breaks or corrosion.
