A complete Post-medieval 1750 to 1850 AD cast copper-alloy tap with T-shaped handle. The handle and stem would have turned within the cylindrical socket, opening and closing a valve to allow the liquid to flow through an opening in the stem to the spout. The tap has a circular-sectioned spigot (the pipe that brings liquid to the tap) which tapers towards the end, perhaps for fitting into a barrel. This was originally recorded as a fabric weight, but it has a circular recess (or boss) visible on both faces and is too small and light to function well as a weight for either curtain or skirt hems.

A Post Medieval complete cast copper alloy spherical bell (often called a rumbler or crotal bell) with intact iron pea, dating from the 17th to 18th century AD. The ring is a simple gold posy ring with a narrow band, a plain exterior and inscribed inside with a brief sentiment BE:CONSTANT. The ring is crushed and is possibly decorated on the outer surface with 6 small round indentations on the outer surface. A silver Post Medieval 17th century AD seal matrix. The seal matrix has a fluted handle which terminates in a globular knop with a circular hole for suspension. Just below the knop around the circumference of the handle are four collars ranging in size. The seal matrix is oval in plan. The design is sub- circular and is decorated with a cross and annulets. The length is 18mm, the width is 5mm, the diameter of the loop is 4mm, the diameter of the base is 12mm and the weight 3.85g.
The seal is similar to SUSS-3C2BF7, NMS-DFCD43 and LANCUM-E51164 on the database.

Complete, slightly bent silver bodkin (head-dress pin). The overall shape of the bodkin is an elongated rectangle in plan and sub-rectangular in section, with slightly convex sides and tapers towards a pointed terminal end, the last 25mm of which is bent 90° from the rest of the shaft. The bodkin has two openings, one at the wider end which is circular and 2mm in diameter. The other opening is approximately 10mm further along the shaft and is longitudinal and 12mm long by 2mm wide. The thimble is complete constructed from a sheet of silver soldered along the edges with the side seam clearly visible attached to a separate domed top soldered to the almost straight sides. Post-medieval copper alloy dress hook dating to the 16th century AD. This is a Read Class D Type 6 trefoil dress hook.
The dress hook is composite in construction comprised of sheeting, wire and ground-supported twisted wire filigree and pellets, with a wire hook and loop attached to the reverse of a die-stamped front plate. Description: A silver intaglio possibly from a fob seal or some other object with a rectangular face, a shield shaped border, and with the mirror image of the initials 'RS'. On the reverse of the seal are the remains of a possible attachment. Without the handle very hard to date, but probably 17th century or later.

This is a copper alloy finger-ring often called a decade ring or rosary ring, probably dating from the 16th or 17th century AD. The bezel of the ring is engraved with the letters IHS ( a Greek abbreviation for Jesus), a cross and three arrow shapes which represent the three nails in Jesus's hands and feet.The ring is decorated wth ten other knobs.

The low square neckline of her dress reveals a cruciform pendant that she wears around her neck. A silver seal most likely from the 16th-17th century and there is a record of arms related to the arms on it from the early 16th century. The matrix is not from Lancashire and it is curious how it turned up there. It is possible that it's deposition relates to the English Civil War 1642-1651 when men of Shropshire are known to have fought in Lancashire. The Kings army was originally based in Shrewsbury and then moved into Cheshire and then Lancashire. The Royalists recieved a defeat at Whalley which is not too far from the findspot.
