A copper alloy strap fitting, probably a belt mount, dating to the 17C. The mount consists of a sub-rectangular plate with curved edges. From the reverse project a pair of integral rectangular-sectioned prongs for attachment which would have formed a sub-rectangular loop.. The length is 27mm, the width is 18mm and the weight 3.86g.
Such mounts with integral prongs may have been from harness straps. Read (2001:28 and fig 21) no.315 from East Devon is similar although with an oval rather than rectangular central section; he dates it to the 17th century.

Possibly a post medieval copper alloy mount or suspension point. Both faces retain remains of a corroded iron attachment. In plan it resembles a short broad arrow. The 'point' of the arrow has a tri-lobed perforation and the 'shaft' is where the iron corrosion is. One face is undecorated. The decoration on the other face consists of a flattened edge which is plain on the sides of the 'shaft' and toothed or crenelated on the bottom edge and on the sides of the 'point'. Date uncertain but the style and method of construction are suggestive of the gothic revival of the late eighteenth ce…
