A complete copper-alloy post-medieval pin terminal. The object is flattened and crudely crucifom in shape with a raised cruciform ridge on one face and cruciform groove on the other. A fragment of a copper-alloy medieval to post-medieval purse frame. Only the attachment loop survives. This is oval in shape and horizontally flattened in cross-section with a short bar, circular in cross-section, projecting from its lower end culminating in a cylindrical knop. The surface of the metal is heavily corroded. It is not clear whether it belongs to Ward Perkins (1967, 167, fig.50-52) Type A or B because the bar is missing. A complete copper-alloy late medieval to post-medieval shield-shaped mount. It is shield-shaped with a raised ridge running longitudinally down the centre of the outer face - the same ridge concave to its reverse. To either side of this the outer face is decorated with alternating wide diagonal ridges and recesses, the recesses filled with cross-hatching - probably an armorial design. There are small circular attachment holes in the centre of the lower end and to either side of the upper end - the latter two filled with iron corrosion.  Its style, decoration and pa…

A complete, but damaged, copper-alloy late medieval to post-medieval composite pin. The head is made from two dished disc-shaped sections of sheet metal soldered together. A simple wire shank, tapering to a point at its lower end, is attached separately to the centre of the lower disc. The head feels heavy given its construction, suggesting that it may be filled with lead. The shank is bent at an angle and there is a small indentation to one side of the head. See parallels from excavations in  London (Egan 2005, nos. 221&224) suggesting a possible 15th-17t…
