11 x post-medieval lead cloth seals. The form and style of lettering on each suggests a 19th century date. Egan writes 'stamped lead seals were widely used in the European textile industry during the late-medieval/early-modern period. They were attached to individual cloths as part of a system of industrial regulation and quality control. In England seals of this type were current from at least the late fourteeth to the early nineteenth centuries (1995, vii).'

An incomplete post-medieval copper-alloy and iron knife or other item of cutlery. Consisting of an openwork decorative copper-alloy handle with a corroded iron fragment protruding from its lower end. The handle is moulded to form an upright crowned lion holding a shield in its front paws, the lower end of which rests on the ground. An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval dress hook. The main body is a circular disc-shape with a moulded rose design on its outer face and slightly convex, undecorated reverse. A trapezoidal attachment loop projects from the upper end and the remains of a rear-facing hook from the lower end, most of which is missing. Several similar examples are illustrated by Read (2008, 95-96) who suggests that their main phase of use was from c.AD 1500-50, but that they may have continued to be used into the 17th century. An incomplete gilded copper-alloy medieval harness pendant. Originally the pendant would have been quatrefoil shaped, but only a section of the upper end now survives. A flat triangular section culminating in a suspension loop projects from the centre of the upper edge. The outer face is decorated with parallel engraved zigzag lines in an unclear - perhaps a cross pattee - design. A tiny trace of gilding survives to one side. A fragment of the handle of a medieval to post-medieval chafing dish handle. Only the outer edge consisting of two adjoining curved sections remains. These are rectangular in cross-section. There is a break at either end where two straight sides would have attached. Chafing dishes were made from both metal and pottery and were used to contain hot charcoal to cook food or keep it warm at the table.
