A small rim shard from a Post-Medieval internally glazed earthenware vessel, of a locally produced coarse sandy ware. Unfortunately the shard is too small in size to take an accurate diameter measurement. The fabric is brownish in colour with the powdery remains of a yellow glaze on the inner surface. A body shard from a Post-Medieval thin-walled, glazed vessel. Probably in the Cistercian ware tradition. The fabric is grey in colour and fairly fine, with few visible inclusions. Large Post-Medieval earthenware vessel handle. The handle is broad at the end where it would have attached to the vessel, before tapering slightly. The other end is missing. The lower surface is convex and the upper flat with a ridge down its centre. The upper surface is decorated with deep incised diagonal lines and with straight lines across the central ridge. A small fragment of a glazed earthenware Post-Medieval vessel. The outer surface has a central section decorated with thumbprints, with the remains of a greenish glaze to either side of this. The fabric is fairly hard and bright orange in colour, with a slightly lighter inner core. The inner surface is very gritty in texture. It is tempered with fine mica and very plentiful fine quartz (0.5mm), the second of which is visible to the eye as a fine white coating on the inner surface.
