Description:
A complete gold and enamelled ‘fede’ ring dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1650-1750).
The band is decorated with three pairs of clasped hands. The hands are mostly covered in opaque white enamel. Each hand projects from an elaborate lace-like ruffed cuff. The cuffs represent three rolls ruff which are each covered in a pale green enamel. Between the pairs of hands, the band is elaborately decorated with a woven motif, forming an interlaced figure of 8, reminiscent of some heraldic knots.

A copper alloy finger ring of post-medieval date. The hoop is formed from a strip of copper alloy which joins. It is circular in plan with a decorated recessed circumferential band. The decoration is worn and difficult to see however appears to be a repeating series of raised motifs possibly pellets. There is no bezel. The object has a dark green patina and gilding is visible on the outer face.

A copper alloy finger ring of post-medieval date. The hoop would have been circular in plan however has been bent out of shape. It has a slight D-shaped cross-section. The bezel consists of a raised very worn sexfoil which may have been intended to be a flower. The finger ring has a mid-brown patina.

A gold mourning ring. Treasure case: 2017 T450.
A Post-Medieval gold mourning ring. The bezel is round in plan and holds a rock crystal through which can be seen a gold wire monogram of two letters (IR) surmounted by a crown and all contained within a gold wire border. The underside of the bezel features a series of flutes decorated with black and white enamel.
The shoulders of the hoop are decorated with black enamelling in a simple foliate design. The remainder of the hoop, interior and exterior, is plain, though distorted.

A complete 'posy' (or poem) finger ring of post-medieval date. The ring is circular in plan with a D-shaped cross section and is formed from a strip of copper alloy with the seam being clearly visible. On the inside hoop is an inscription in a cursive script reading 'I AM VENS'. There is no visible decoration on the outer hoop.
The ring is dark brown in colour with silver visible on the inside of the hoop and along the seam. The exact material of the object is uncertain due to its condition.

An incomplete copper alloy finger ring of post-medieval date, (c. 1650-c. 1850). The bezel is oval in plan with tapering shoulders. The remains of the hoop is D-shaped in cross-section and terminates with a worn break each side of the bezel. The bezel is decorated with a circular grooved border within which there is a low-relief initial of E and C. Between each initial is a vertical foliate-like motif.
The object has a dark green patina.

The outer face is decorated with a repeating pattern of a stamped flower within a circular border. Between each flower is a worn motif, which is possibly foliate. The inner face of the hoop is undecorated. The object has a light golden brown patina and is in fair condition.

A complete copper alloy finger ring made from a flat strip of copper alloy. Probably Post Medieval (AD 1500 - AD 1600).
The outer surface of the hoop is decorated with moulded repetitive wave-shaped motifs. The joint where the two ends of the strip abut is clearly visible. The inside of the hoop is plain. The ring has a dark green patina and no traces of gilding.

Description: A gold finger-ring. The hoop is bent and broken, and a portion appears to be missing. The exterior shoulders are decorated in a worn floral motif with traces of black enamel. The bezel is squashed and only a small fragment of the glass setting (now separate) remains; the underside is decorated in series of grooves, some of which retain enamel. An incomplete finger ring of probable post-medieval date. The ring has an oval expanded bezel and broad shoulders. Below the shoulders each side is rounded where it terminates. At the rear of the object a thin rectangular band is soldered on to the bezel and would probably have continued past the shouders forming a simple hoop. The band measures 15mm in lenght (which is curved) and 4mm in width. The bezel is decorated within an oval depression and depicts a scene which is too worn to decipher. It does not appear to be a monogram or lettering.

A Post-Medieval gold posy ring. The outside of the hoop is decorated with a foliate design. The inside of the hoop bears the inscription 'If love can merit' 'I Shall in herit'. In between these two lines there appears to be a maker's mark which could be 'SV' or an incomplete 'SW'.

A cast copper alloy finger ring probably dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is in three separate pieces due to recent breaks and is incomplete. When complete the ring would have been oval in plan. It is D-shaped in cross-section. The band is narrow at the base measuring 1.88mm in width at the break of the larger fragment. The band then expands in width towards the rounded shoulders which measure 8.56mm in width. The bezel, which is empty, is oval in plan and would probably have held a stone.

A complete cast copper alloy finger ring, of probable Early Post Medieval dating (16th to 17th Centuries AD).
The finger ring is of the signet ring style, with a raised circular bezel. The shoulders are plain and expand slightly out from the width of the hoop. The hoop is plain and D shaped in cross section.
The hoop measures 24mm in diameter. The bezel is oval and flat measuring 14.5mm x 13mm. The bezel forms a matrix with a central R, surrounded by an inscription which is worn.
