A fragment of a clay pipe stem of late 17th century date. The stem has a faint maker's mark which has been identified as that of William Pearce of Marlborough, Wiltshire, who was operating c. AD 1690. The mark is partly contained in a cartouche with tapering point at the base with two pellets or stars either side of the point. The upper portion of the mark is unclear. The mark reads WIL[L] PEARC[E].
The clay pipe fragment was found in a garden on land previously used as an orchard.

A cast silver gilt looped portion of a post-medieval dress fastener.
The item is sub-triangular in shape and is formed of the head and wings of a cherub. Below the head is a large open D-shaped loop, into which the hook part of the garment fastener would slide. Above the head are two smaller sub-circular attachment loops, through which thread would pass to sew the fastener into a garment. Description: An ornate base silver mount dating to the 19th century or later.
The mount is sub-rectangular in plan with very rounded narrow edges. At the base of the mount on one long edge is an expanded foot, bevelled in section having a flat back and sloping front. At the top of the mount, in the centre of the long edge, is a trefoil-shaped projection.

TREASURE CASE 2019 T846. Description: A complete and well preserved post-medieval gold 'posy' ring, dating to the period AD 1600 - 1750. The finger ring has a D-shaped band, plain externally. Inside the band is an inscription in a Roman script reading 'God hath me lent my content' followed by a maker's mark of the letters I P within a rectangular cartouche.

Description: A complete three-piece discoidal silver button of post-medieval date, in very good condition. The button is biconvex and is hollow with two blow-holes on the lower hemisphere and separate soldered loop. The upper half of the button is decorated with an incised design of a four petalled flower around a central stamen. This is surrounded by a circular border along the button’s hemisphere which has hashed triangles in the gaps between each petal. The underside is plain with no evidence of a maker's mark.

A complete gold post-medieval finger ring, a posy or poem ring of late 17th or early 18th century date. The finger ring has a plain D-shaped band with internal inscription in cursive script which reads 'for virtues sake my wife I take'. Following the inscription is a maker's mark of IB within a sub-rectangular cartouche. Finger rings with similar cursive script are dated from c. 1650 - 1750 AD however the maker's mark may be that of Joseph Berry, who is recorded as being 'Free of the Goldsmiths' Company' AD 1675 - 1697 (date of death unknown).
