A clipped halfpenny of a Henry VIII (AD 1509-1547), dating to the period AD 1509-1526. The initial mark looks like a pomegranate (Canterbury mint) however the lettering on the reverse appears to read [Lon]don, which would indicate a portcullis or castle initial mark. The coin is hard to read because of size and condition and it may also be a mule. Lombardic lettering. North N1779/1780.

A straightened silver groat of Henry VIII (AD 1504-1547), dating to the period AD 1538-1541 (second coinage). Lis 3 initial mark, mint of London. North (2006) p111 no 1797. The coin was bent when found, with the left and right sides of the obverse bent in towards one another, but not completely folded up - the coin was straightened by the finder.

The coin appears to have an arrow on the reverse, but the obverse initial mark is hard to discern; this may be a mule as there are crosses / roses in the arms of the cross on the reverse, and mules were not uncommon for this period of issue. North 1797.
