An incomplete cast copper alloy strap fitting of probable seventeenth century date. The arrow-shaped fitting has a bilobed back terminal and collared front terminal. There are traces of gilding. The front is bevelled and the back is flat. On the back are the remains of two integrally cast rivets.

A near complete cast copper alloy strap fitting or decorative mount of post-medieval date (c. AD 1600 - c. AD 1800). The mount is roughly square in plan with rounded corners, a raised central knop ans stems between each of the four corner lobes. There is a circular aperture within each lobe. On the reverse of the mount are two integrslly cast spikes for insertion into a leather strap - one is incomplete. This decorative strap fitting is similar to one illustrated in 'Detector Finds' (Bailey 1995, 87 no 10). It is believed to be 17th century in date and used to decorate horse harness straps.

An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting of post-medieval date. The fitting is lozenge-shaped in plan with a raised moulding of a cherub's face in the centre. Around the outer edges of the fitting is moulded scrolling designs. On the reverse are the remains of a square sectioned shank. The style of decoration is characteristic of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and similar cherubs are often seen on gravestones of this period.

An early post-medieval copper-alloy strap fitting from a sword belt hanger, dating to the period c.AD 1500 to 1650.The plate is sub-triangular in plan with a trifoliate terminal and decorated with moulded foliate decoration.There is a forward-facing globular-ended hook.There are two rivet holes, both of which retain the iron rivets. Originally this object would have been one of three similar plates, which would have hung from a mount.See Read 2008, 220 No. 793 for a reconstructed example.

An incomplete cast copper alloy strap fitting from a sword belt; a fitting or scabbard hanger dating from the Post-medieval period, about AD 1500 - 1700. The fitting is a sub rectangular plate which has a trilobed terminal at each end and bi-concave long sides. Three loops descend from one long edge of the plate, one of which retains a separate penannular ring. The plate has a rivet hole in the centre and one in the middle of each terminal (one now broken). Engraved floral and foliage decoration covers the face of the object. Compare SWYOR-ECB357.

A complete but worn cast copper-alloy post-medieval strap fitting (belt mount) dating from c. AD 1500-1700. The copper alloy strap fitting is a simplistic acorn design. It is sub-oval in plan with one terminal having an integral knop. Bisecting the two halves is a linear groove. The reverse has two circular sectioned integral studs, both of which are incomplete. These studs would pass through the strap leather and hold the fitting in place.

The fitting has moulded decoration comprosing a pellet border arounf the external edge and a raised central knop or boss. Between the two are radiating lines creating a floral effect. Possible traces of a white-metal coating remain. On the reverse is an integrally cast shank that tapers to a sharp point and is now bent over to one side - this would have secured the fitting to a leather strap or belt. c. 17th century AD.

A complete cast copper alloy strap fitting of early Post Medieval date. The strap fitting is an elongated heart shaped in plan with two integrally cast spikes on the reverse which are now bent over where they would have secured the fitting to a leather strap. The strap fitting has been decorated with a white-metal coating on the face while the underside is plain and undecorated. This strap fitting dates to the period c. AD 1450 to 1650.
