A worn silver penny of Henry VII dating to AD 1485-1509. Obverse depicts the king enthroned holding orb and sceptre with one pillar to the throne. Reverse depicts a royal shield over long cross which divides the legend and keys on either side of the bottom of the shield. Mint of York under Archbishop Rotherham. Uncertain initial mark. North N.1728.

A slightly worn silver sixpence of William III (AD 1694-1702) dated 1697, mint of York. The coin is bent in two directions and some attempt has been made to make the obverse surface smooth; many consider these to be 'love tokens', given as gifts to sweethearts. Spink (2011) 3536.
