Description: A complete three-piece discoidal silver button of post-medieval date, in very good condition. The button is biconvex and is hollow with two blow-holes on the lower hemisphere and separate soldered loop. The upper half of the button is decorated with an incised design of a four petalled flower around a central stamen. This is surrounded by a circular border along the button’s hemisphere which has hashed triangles in the gaps between each petal. The underside is plain with no evidence of a maker's mark.

An incomplete, bent and worn copper alloy book clasp of Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1500- 1600).
The object is broadly rectangular in shape, with an attachment end that narrows to form a blunt hook, the end of which is missing. At the opposing end the rectangular body of the fitting flares outwards into a rounded, lobed terminal, possibly floral in form but now very worn. There is a single rivet hole near the terminus of the flower head which is now filled with iron corrosion. A complete silver sewing thimble of 18th or early 19th century date. The thimble is domed shaped and divided into two decorative panels. The upper section of the thimble has multiple small, machine-made pits arranged in circumferential lines to the dome. The peak of the thimble is worn and the decoration unclear, but there appears to be fainter (shallower) pits aranged around the centre in a swirl. A complete cast copper alloy lozenge-shaped strap fitting or belt mount of early post-medieval date. The fitting has moulded decoration comprosing a pellet border arounf the external edge and a raised central knop or boss. Between the two are radiating lines creating a floral effect. Possible traces of a white-metal coating remain. On the reverse is an integrally cast shank that tapers to a sharp point and is now bent over to one side - this would have secured the fitting to a leather strap or belt. c. 17th century AD.

A complete but damaged lead-alloy token dating to the Post-Medieval period. This type of token is known as 'Lyon counter', and dates to the period c. AD 1575-1589. The obverse of the token depicts a crowned lion facing left, rampant, within a circular border in the form of a belt or garter. The legend set within the circular border (now largely illegible) would have originally read; 'HONI SOI QUI MAL Y PE', the motto of the order of the garter. A complete but worn cast copper alloy decorative belt mount of early post-medieval date.The mount is elongated pointed-oval in shape with rounded knops at either end, possibly in imitation of an acorn. The fitting has a slightly domed upper side and hollow underside; at either end of the mount on the underside are two integrally cast spikes that would have been inserted through the leather strap then folded over to secure the mount in place. A complete cast copper alloy strap fitting of early Post Medieval date. The strap fitting is an elongated heart shaped in plan with two integrally cast spikes on the reverse which are now bent over where they would have secured the fitting to a leather strap. The strap fitting has been decorated with a white-metal coating on the face while the underside is plain and undecorated. This strap fitting dates to the period c. AD 1450 to 1650. A near-complete cast copper alloy strap fitting or belt mount in the form of a stylised acorn, dating to the Post Medieval period. The front of the mount is convex, and the reverse concave. TREASURE CASE 2017 T28. An incomplete silver seal matrix of post-medieval date. The seal matrix has a lobed handle with two complete spherical lobes and two broken lobes which would have formed the apex of the handle. The stem of the matrix is hexagonally facted with a double raised collar separating the stem from the handle terminal. The stem widens in to an oval matrix which is engraved on the underside. A worn but complete copper alloy Trade Token of the post-medieval period. The token was issued by the city of Bristol in AD 1652, and although it is the size of many halfpenny tokens, it is a farthing token. Town tokens are among the first trade tokens to be issued, with individuals and businesses following soon after. These farthing and halfpenny tokens were banned in c. AD 1672 with the reintroduction of offifical state coinage of the same denominations. Williamson page 241 (Glos) no. 12.
