An incomplete pin of uncertain later Early-Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It has a spherical copper-alloy head with extensive moulded and inlaid decoration on its outer surfaces. This comprises a conical boss at top centre, with four similar bosses evenly spaced around the circumference. Each boss has a collar formed from transverse ribs at top and bottom separated by a transverse band of corded decoration. An incomplete fragment from the arm of a purse bar of early Post-Medieval date. It is cylindrical in form, terminating at both ends in old breaks and tapering slightly towards the outer end. The object has decoration comprising two vertical grooves at the middle of the fragment, with double stranded cross-hatching or lattice work towards the broader middle of the object, perhaps originally containing inlaid niello but this is ow missing due to old breaks. A cast copper-alloy zoomorphic end cap from a scale-tang knife of Post-Medieval date. It is oval in section, bifuricated, with each out-turned arm in the form of a horse's hoof. These are oval in section with flat top surfaces and a raised transverse ridge at the base of each hoof representing the frog. Each hoof has a central vertical groove that runs from top to bottom and divides the frog in half. A cast copper-alloy strap fitting or loop of Post-Medieval date. It has a rectangular plate that is triangular in cross section, with a single integrally cast cylindrical rivet on the back face of the attachment end. At the opposite end the plate extends to an integral rectangular loop with central rectangular aperture. The entire object measures 23.12mm in length, 9.22mm in width, 8.26mm in thickness (including rivet), and 3.37g in weight. This is an incomplete hooked strap fitting or loop of Post-Medieval date with near identical parallels published by Read (2008: nos. 807-808). It …
