Late Medieval to Post medieval copper alloy vessel foot, 26mm long, 21mm wide and 14mm thick with a weight of 29.51g. The foot has a sub rectangular form and semi-circular cross section. It widens slightly towards the base where its swells in all directions. It broadly fits FRG Datasheet 41 types b-c, but is more worn/undefined.

It is stamped on one surface with three crowned E's, one at the apex and one near each right angle. This stamp was used in London during 15th-16th C. p.45 Bigg, N. Trade weights 1992.

Post Medieval copper alloy finger ring, 23mm in diameter, 6mm wide and 2mm thick with a weight of 3.88g. The ring has a D shaped cross section and its outer edge is decorated with two solid raised borders ae each edge and in between this is a rounded surface. This has a series of four sub spherical motifs, each divided by two transverse linear depressions. Between these is a plain section of equal length which has a small six pointed star in a circular depression at the centre. The ring is similar HAMP355, which has a date range of 1650-1750 assigned to it.

Post Medieval lead alloy seal or token? c. 30mm in diamater and weighing 15.87g. The object is circular in form and rectangular in cross section and has a raised lip on one surface which has the remains of a recessed attachemnet loop visible (near the base as shown). This lipped side is decorated with the letters 127 sitting above a central raised six pointed star motif. The base is flat and plain. The object could be a wire or thread seal? or some sort of token or tally . For possibly older wire seals see Elton, S F. 'Cloth seals' p274-5 and BERK-738912, LVPL-53C7C1, LEIC-92C067

The object consists of a plate which is sub-rectangular in form and cross section and has a tri-lobed terminal at its upper end (as shown) with a circular fixing hole in the central lobe. The button is formed of two components. the first is a sub triangular, rectangular cross sectioned loop with a circular hole in its centre. The second sits on this and is a solid, circular shaped, oval cross sectioned button, 11mm in diameter, which has a conical projection in the centre of its upper edge. The form matches fig.7.26/7.28 p.28 Buttons and fasterners, Bailey,G. all dating to 16th century.

On one face it has a stamped image of a ship with forecastles and a rounded hull. Its other face is very worn but appears to have a rounded border with a possible figure and initials flanking it? the design matches several on page 25, Withers, P & B, Lions, Ships and Angels and is probably of continental manufacture.
