Post Medieval copper alloy dagger guard, 84mm long, 28mm wide and 21mm thick with a weight of 112.53g. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section with two curved projections. The rectangular central section has a small rectangular slot in the centre of its upper surface and an open opposing end to accomodate a blade. It is decorated on both of its faces with an incised double border which runs over the upper edge as well. Post Medieval copper alloy mount, 66mm long, 12mm wide and 16mm thick with a weight of 17.05g. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section. It is incomplete but consists of part of a rectangular shaft which terminates in a raised collar and has an incised border near its edge. Above this is a small sub triangular plate, above which is an acorn shaped terminal with cross hatching on its lower section. The rectangular plate houses a sub rectangular protusion on its reverse side positioned centrally at its present base. The object is probably a book or box fitting.
