Silver-gilt silver dress tag, of openwork construction, cast in one plane with trapezoidal bar developing from central floral garland enclosing a heart (?). Gilt. Hook previously soldered onto reverse at lower edge now missing. 16mm long. 15th-16th Century. Similar in type to the dress tag from Martyr Worthy, Hampshire, for which see David Gaimster et al, "Tudor silver-gilt dress hooks", Antiquaries Journal 2003, p.168, fog.11.

Silver dress-hook in the form of three recurving hooks with tapering points, made from two lengths of thick wire, soldered onto the back of a circular boss with pinked outline in the form of a flowerhead resembling a button daisy. This boss apparently cast. Front and back-including hooks themselves-- gilded. Backplate filed. Approx 4,1 cm width and 3.6 cm long.16th Century. This is a new type of Tudor dress-hook to be recorded under the Treasure Act. A gold finger-ring with a d-shaped band. The complex bezel holds out a colourless cut stone and it is backed by a heart with pale blue enamel covering most of it, although much is chipped. Two tapered grooves run along the top and bottom of each shoulder, and within these, futther pale-blue enamel is evident; there are also very slight traces of black enamel.
