A post-medieval copper alloy sword belt fitting dating to the 16th or 17th century. The fitting consists of an elongated hanger and a squat sub-triangular pendant. The hanger is made of one elongated piece of copper alloy, plano-convex in section, and folded over. The face of the hanger is decorated with a moulded zoomorphic decoration consisting of a large semi-circular plume at the top. The terminal of the tail is at the top and takes the form of a semi-circular, ribbed plume. A narrow collar is located next to this which then leads into a large sub-rectangular body.…

An incomplete post-medieval mount of 16th to 17th century date. It consists of a flat, elaborately shaped openwork plate. The object has a half-rounded collared knop leading to a circular frame. Three curved prongs extend above and below. The circular cell leads on to a rectangular terminal with an iron rivet. The design is similar to post-medieval belt clasps, such as LIN-EFF8CC.

An incomplete post-medieval belt clasp of 16th to 17th century date. It consists of a flat, elaborately shaped plate. At the complete end is a crescent shaped projection which would have secured the male clasp to a female clasp. A pair of moulded, curved points project above and below a rivet hole, which then leads to a large circular opening. Above and below the circular opening is another pair of curved mouldings. An incomplete cast copper-alloy sword belt fitting of post-medieval date (c.1500-1600). The fitting is nealy complete. It is asymmetrical and comprises lozenge shaped body with a fleur-de-lis terminal at either end. The body is moulded with foliage designs. An integral loop extends diagonally below. A post-medieval copper alloy strap fitting with terminal loop. The fitting comprises a rectangular plate with a hook extending from one end and terminating in the centre of the reverse of the plate. A rivet passes through this, joining onto the centre of the plate. A copper alloy loop is attached to the hook. The frame of the loop is narrowed at the point where it had tension.

A Post Medieval sword belt mount dating to the 16th century. The plate is flat and in the form of a large tapering leaf. The mount has a tri-lobed end, the outer lobes more flared, and one now missing to an old break. Below the end is a narrowed waist which then expands forming rounded shoulders before tapering in width and then expanding again to a smaller tri-lobed plate with a hook at the lower end. A post-medieval copper alloy strap fitting. The fitting has lozenge shaped head in the form of a flower. The flower has twelve recessed pointed oval cells, and a raised moulded central bud. An integral bar loop extends across the reverse. Probably 1500-1700, though enamelled flower-headed strap slides are also known in the Roman period.

A small strip of copper alloy passes through the terminal and wraps around a ring of copper alloy. The wider end is incomplete. An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting, probably of post-medieval date and probably from a book. The fitting has a lozenge shaped flat body with an incomplete rectangular loop extending from one end. The surface is smooth and undecorated. The reverse has four integral incomplete fittings spaced evenly around the perimeter. At the acute angle ends of the lozenge is a rectangular shank, while at the other two angles there is a small flat, oval, integral panel.

A complete cast copper alloy zoomorphic belt hook, of Early Post Medieval to Modern dating (1500 to 1950 AD). The strap fitting comprises the heads and necks of two open-mouthed beasts, extendinng in different directions from a central globular boss, and curving so that the mount forms an 'S'shape. An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting / sword belt fitting of Early Post Medieval date (17th Century AD). The strap fitting consists of a circular hollow-domed plate with a pierced trefoil knop at the top. At the other end is an integral butted blunt hook which now curves rearward. The strap fitting measures 50mm in length, 21mm wide and 6mm thick. It weighs 9.91g.
