A fragment of a copper alloy possible buckle plate or hinge plate of probable Post Medieval date, AD 1500 - 1800. It is a tapering rectangular shape with a rounded narrow end and a broken wide end, but the break appears to be across a projecting hinge tab. There are three rivet holes through the plate, which is also bent, probably owing to damage, into a U shape. In its current state it is 14.1mm long, 14.5mm wide and 4.9mm thick. 0.6g.

An incomplete, copper alloy shoe buckle, dating from the Post-Medieval period AD 1660 - 1720. It has a curved, rectangular frame with rounded corners and outer edges, and concave sides. The sides of the frame are thickened in the centre, where they were probably drilled to take a separate spindle, but this is obscured by ferrous corrosion. The pin is missing. The chape may also be iron, but all that survives is a mass of iron corrosion. The frame appears to have a white metal coating. It is 22.7mm long, 16mm wide and 4.8mm thick. 3.2g. A Medieval to Post Medieval buckle fragment dating from AD 1200 - 1720. Only the ouer edge of one loop survives; the buckle may have been single looped or double looped. The outer edge is convex externally and internally. This is seen on Meols type 7 buckles (AD 1200 - 1400) but also on Post Medieval double looped buckles such as those on page 71 of Whitehead. 29.1mm long, 7.6mm wide and 2.2mm thick. 1.5g. The patina is rough and brown and is perhaps more suggestive of a Post medieval date.
