A copper-alloy (brass) 'Paduan' medallion of Caracalla (reigned AD 196-217), made by Giovanni da Cavino of Padua (lived AD 1500-1573). Diameter: 37mm; Weight: 37.96g; Die Axis: 8. It is quite possible that this is a cast made from one of Cavino's originals. The finder has cleaned the object.
