A Post Medieval ceramic fragment of a London Delftware (tin-glazed earthenware) polychrome floor tile (c.1618-c.1660). The fragment includes one corner of the decorated 'medallion' style tile. Originally the tile was square, only one corner remains now. The surviving fragment includes part of a central motif painted in yellow/green with blue outline against a blue and white background but there is not enough surviving to identify the subject. Copper alloy tag length 37mm, width 22mm, thickness 2mm, weight 5.19g. This is the female part of a hook and eye clothes fastener. Oval plate with a lion passant on the face, a large rectangular loop on the forward edge, this is flanked by two small attachment loops with a third at the rear. Date 16th century.
