A complete Post Medieval lead alloy miniature horn book dating c1500-1700AD showing the alphabet. There are five lines of letters with a cross prefixing the first row and two conjoined x's terminating the fifth row: [ABCDEF]/GHIKLM/NOPQR/STVWX/YZ (scrollwork at terminal). Between each row is a border of latitudinal strokes The reverse has the letters TS (S is reversed) contained by a narrowed border infilled with arches, which is in turn surrounded by a plain border and finally a cross hatched border.
