An incomplete Post-Medieval copper-alloy openwork dress hook, dating to AD 1500 - 1600. Read's Class E, Type 3. It is comprised of a cast flat openwork plate, of circular form with a sub-rectangular loop above, and a short collared backward-pointing hook below, which tapers to an old break. The centre of the plate is occupied by a heart, with open oval panels and sub-rectangular interstices forming a frame around it.
