A Post-Medieval cast lead-alloy and iron mount, dating to c.AD 1600 - 1900. The mount is circular in plan with moulded relief decoration in the form of a lion's head surrounded by its mane. The reverse is flat with the remnants of iron pins or studs and embedded into it. A Post-Medieval lead alloy palm guard of dating to c.AD 1500 - 1800. The guard is drop shaped, with one flat side and one domed, giving it a D-shaped profile. The thinner end tapers to a small, rounded point, whilst the wider end is rounded. The flatter side is mostly level save for slight dip in th middle, this is probably from use.
