Cast copper alloy buckle frame, oval and deeply moulded. Slightly curved along length suggesting that it was intended to be a shoe or breeches buckle. At one end is a rectangular projection the edge of which is notched. A similar projection appears to have been broken from the other end. The central area of the frame is slightly expanded to accommodate a pin but there is no sign of it ever having been drilled and the buckle many be unfinished, this is supported by its rough edges.
